Book Review: Glass Houses by Rachel Caine *SPOILERS*

Glass Houses is the first book in the Morganville Vampires Series. I really enjoyed this book and I am buddy reading the series with Heather. (One of my friends on Goodreads). This was a reread and I really did enjoy rereading the book.

Characters: 3.5 stars
Claire: I kinda hated Claire because, she was really smart, but, she could be so dumb at times. Like, Shane warned her not to go out at night. She goes out, nearly gets hurt and then wonders why she keeps getting hurt at night! SHANE TOLD YOU DIMWIT!!
Shane: Now, Shane was one awesome character. I know a lot of people don't like Shane but personally, I freaking loved him! He is like my number 3 book boyfriend. (Brandon Roberts from Dork Diaries: Tales From A Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renee Russell is number one) He really looked out for Claire and [when he kissed Claire I literally jiggled in my bed because I was that happy for them!
Michael: Michael is my number 2 book boyfriend. I LOVED Michael and how he was really cautious about letting Claire stay because him and Eve and Shane were all 18 or older and she was 16.
Eve: Eve was a awesome goth and I loved her. She really cared for Claire, Michael and Shane. even though her and Shane fight a lot she still cares for him because they are like brother and sister.
Amelie: we meet Amelie later on but, she is really awesome and kick-butt!
Oliver: Douche.
Brandon: Idiot.
Monica and the Monickettes: I hated Monica and Gina, but, I kinda liked Jennifer, because she seemed almost reluctant to do what Monica said but she was scared to get beaten up so she went with it.
Shane's Dad and his Biker Crew: A bunch of mucked up idiots!

Plot: 5 stars
I like the idea of the plot. read the synopsis if you want, but, I am going to summarize the book. Claire Danvers is a new student in Morganville, a place run by vampires. Claire gets bullied by a girl called Monica. One day, Monica takes it too far and pushes Claire down the stairs. Claire moves out and she moves into the Glass House. Then everything starts from there. It is a lot more interesting then I am making it sound I promise you that!

The ending:
Shane's dad comes to murder all the vampires because they murder Shane's mum and sister, Alyssa. Shane's dad thinks that Michael is a vampire and stabs him!

Overall rating: 4.5 stars!!
8.5 out of 10 stars.

Books I am Currently Reading :3

Currently Reading, My Progress and How Much I am Enjoying.

Title: City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Clare
Page I'm On: 44
Enjoyment Factor: It's alright, I mean it's a bit slow-paced at the moment. But, then again, what book isn't slow-paced at the beginning. I have started this book before and read the first part (Chapters 1-9) and that's when it starts to pick up pace. I know that a lot of my friends gave up after chapter 5 but you honestly shouldn't! Keep going until chapter 10 and then see if you wan't to stop.

Title: A Game of Thrones
Author: George R.R. Martin
Page I'm On: 26
Enjoyment Factor:  Wow, their is so many names in this book. My edition has 803 pages and I am only on page 26. I've been reading this book for a month but I just haven't picked it up for two reasons. One, I am reading so many books at once and two, my copy hurts to hold, but, I don't wanna wreck my BRAND NEW copy of it. I managed to find a normal sized paperback addition though so YAY!!

Title: Into the Wild
Author: Erin Hunter
Page I'm On: 28
Enjoyment Factor: I am liking this change of book style right now. I like the fact that the main characters are cats and I really like the idea. I am reading this book for 2 challenges right now. Info is on my Goodreads. Link will be posted up soon.

Title: Shiver
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Page I'm On: 303
Enjoyment Factor: One small thing is all I'm gonna say about this book and that is no! I thought I would like the idea and style of this book, but, I don't like it that much. It's repetitive and boring.

Title: Den of Thieves
Author: Julia Golding
Page I'm On: 348
Enjoyment Factor:  Now, I've been reading this book for one year. But, not because I hate it, because I've pushed it out the way and put it on hold so that way I can read books that I felt were more important. I managed to get this book signed so, I really wanna get round to reading this!

Title: Summer's Shadow
Author: Anna Wilson
Page I'm On: 32
Enjoyment Factor: It's slow paced at the moment that's all I gotta say.

Title: Cinder
Author: Marissa Meyer
Page I'm On: 126
Enjoyment Factor: It's bipolar. Seriously, one minute everyone's happy next minute then next thing you know everyone is sad.

Title: The Power of Five
Author: Elisabetta Gnone Adapted by Elizabeth Lenhard
Page I'm On: 6
Enjoyment Factor: This short book is taking me a really long time to read, but, only because I have read this book many a million times. Hehe!

Title: The UnSlut Project
Author: Emily Lindin
Page I'm On: Dunno
Enjoyment Factor: This book is such a sad tale. I love Emily's story (this is the author's diary) and I got really upset and starting crying because of how horrible "Zach" is. The amount of times Emily had friend's betray her so far just makes me cry. I honestly love this story so far.
